Updating the Vermont Stormwater Management Manual

cover

The Department of Environmental Conservation's Stormwater Management Program is updating the 2002 Stormwater Management Manual.  We have all gained valuable experience in working with the Manual over the past 7 or so years, and have identified several potential areas of improvement.  This summer we will be hosting work groups to assist in researching the various issues and developing any required technical standards.

Everyone who is interested in updating the Manual is welcome to join a work group.  The work groups will prioritize, evaluate and research the various issues that have been identified and then develop any new standards/credits/practices.  Our plan is for the work groups to meet and work over the summer and then present any research findings and proposed manual revisions to the group in early September.

We have developed this website to post research links, meeting notes and draft materials with the intent of keeping everyone informed during this process.  If you have materials that you would like to share with the group, please send them to stormwater@state.vt.us and we can post them here.
